What a first month looks like in numbers — on a hypothetical scenario

Worked example

A breakdown of one invented month: three sources, labels, a funnel and the result after ad costs. It shows how to read your own statistics and count payback.

An important caveat#

This is a hypothetical scenario: all numbers are invented for illustration and are not the result of a real partner. Do not expect the same figures — yours depend on the source, delivery and audience. Look at real numbers in your own statistics.

Starting data#

  • The partner’s base share is 70% of the settlement value of items (60% of the Steam market price) in completed requests (see Share and tiers›).
  • The average size of one deal is 1,500 ₽ in settlement value, so the share from one deal is 1,050 ₽.
  • Three sources, each with its own label (Traffic links›): paid Telegram ads, a TikTok profile and a YouTube video.

Numbers by label#

LabelVisitsSteam sign-insRequestsSalesVolume70% shareSpend
ad_chan1_a600150241218,000 ₽12,600 ₽3,000 ₽
tt_profile400601057,500 ₽5,250 ₽0 ₽
yt_inventory125070969,000 ₽6,300 ₽0 ₽
Total1,250280432334,500 ₽24,150 ₽3,000 ₽

Net result of the month: 24,150 ₽ of share − 3,000 ₽ of ads = 21,150 ₽.

How to read it#

  • The ads paid off. 3,000 ₽ went on ads, the share from them is 12,600 ₽. Each 1 ₽ spent brings 4.2 ₽ of share.
  • Cost per deal from ads is 3,000 ÷ 12 = 250 ₽, while the share from one deal is 1,050 ₽. The margin is large, so you can try raising the budget in steps of 20–30%.
  • “Sign-in → request” conversion is 16% for ads, 13% for YouTube and 17% for TikTok. If it differed sharply, it would be worth checking that the deal process is explained clearly.
  • TikTok’s weak spot is few sign-ins per visit (15%): people open the profile but do not reach sign-in. Strengthen the call to action at the end of the video.
  • YouTube gives fewer visits but the highest share of sign-ins (28%): the video builds trust. That format is worth repeating.

When the money becomes available#

If the items in requests are from CS2, the share for them sits on hold for about 8 days (Steam trade protection), then moves to “Available to withdraw” in the “Payouts” tab. Dota 2, Rust and TF2 have no hold. Withdrawal starts from 500 ₽, to cryptocurrency; payouts are processed manually.

Make the same calculation#

  1. After a week open the traffic links table in the domain “Settings”.
  2. For each label count: spend ÷ sales, and compare it with your share per deal.
  3. Turn off labels that do not pay off and repeat what worked. More — in Promotion›.
