Why it is good#
- Free. You only need time and the ability to write to the point.
- Warm traffic. The person is already looking for a solution, not scrolling a feed out of boredom.
- A long effect. Answers are indexed by search and work for a long time.
Where to find questions#
Niche sections on CS2, Dota 2, Rust, skin trading. Look for threads like “where to sell skins” and similar.
Discussions of games and the market on Steam Community pages.
Local-language and international forums on games and esports.
Sites where people ask questions about games and trading.
How to answer#
- Find a live questionA fresh discussion that has no good answer yet. Old threads are closed or not read.
- Give a real answerExplain how to appraise an item, how selling methods differ, what to look at. The link is only one option at the end.
- Be honestIf you are connected with the service, say so openly. Hidden advertising is quickly spotted and destroys trust.
- Leave a link with a labelFor example
?src=rd_threador?src=forum_name, to see the effect of each venue.
An example of a good answer
“Depends on your goal. If you need quick money, buyout services fit: they usually give less than the market price, but you do not have to look for a buyer. If you can wait, list on the Steam market, but mind the fee. I use [service]: [link]. But compare 2–3 options and look at the terms.”
Your own posts#
Your own threads work if they are useful:
- A guide “How not to lose value when selling skins”.
- A comparison of selling methods with pros and cons.
- A market review after a game update.
If the topic is just “selling, come in”, it will be deleted. Give value, a link — at most one, at the end.
A Steam group#
- Create a group about skin appraisal and trading.
- Regularly publish market news and breakdowns.
- Put the link to the service in the group description and a pinned post.
- Invite subscribers from your other sources — see Telegram channel›.
Rules and reputation#
- Build reputation first: answer questions without links, help people.
- Do not post the same topic in several sections.
- Take criticism calmly and answer on the merits.
What to watch#
- Views and rating of the answer on the venue itself.
- Visits under the label and clicks over the weeks after publication.
- Topics that draw questions most often — they can be turned into guides.
Common mistakes#
- An answer that is just a link with no explanation.
- Many accounts for one advertisement: venues easily detect and ban this.
- Inflated reviews and fake “personal stories”.
- Ignoring the section rules.
